Unit 12 |
16. Traduci in italiano.
1.Who is at the helm? I’m afraid we might have to put on our life-jackets, and prepare the lifeboats, just in case. Let’s hope the tugboat gets here soon.
2.Who’s on the bridge? Is it the captain? No, he’s near the prow or the stern, I’m not sure which.
3.When we took our rented car back to the rental place, we noticed that it had a small dent on the left door, a tear in the back seat, a chip in its side mirror, and a crack in the right window.
4.Don’t turn in there. It’s a one-way street and a tow-away zone.
5.I don’t know how to drive an Italian car. First, I have to learn how to change gears. Then, I have to learn how to go forward and back up.
6.Have you ever been in a sleeping coach? No, I have never been inside a train compartment of any kind.
7.It is not wise to hitchhike. If you do not have enough money to travel by car or plane, then take the train or bus.
Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino.
Ecco alcune sigle:
Roma = Roma; T0 = Torino; MI = Milano; NA = Napoli; PA = Palermo; BO = Bologna; RA = Ravenna; RG = Ragusa; FE = Ferrara; RT = Rieti; AL = Alessandria; RO = Rovigo; ME = Messina; FI = Firenze; AT = Asti.
1.Test di verifica. Tutte le seguenti affermazioni sono false. Correggile in modo appropriato.
a.In Italia c’e` poco traffico.
