r C: "I hope you'll make the guarantee period much much longer, say, twice as long from the date of delivery, or at least for 3 years."

В.: *I can't give you a four years' guarantee, that's a fact." i C: "What about three years?"

В.: "It makes 36 months! It isn't our practice. But since it's your first deal with us, let it be so, but you will remember the guarantee doesn't apply to rapid wearing parts and second, you should strictly observe our operation and maintenance instructions, to say nothing that you are not supposed to make any alterations in the design of the tractors during the guar­antee period without our consent."

portation for only 2 years and you'll have to order them for your own account. We're new to the Canadian market. I wish we had some kind of centre in your country dealing with af­ter-sales services. В.: "Yes, I know, it.s called Belorus Machinery, but we want to have something of our own and here in Quebeck or in another town in this part of your country. As a matter of fact we're going to set up our own sales centre of some kind. Perhaps you'll act as our commission or consignment agent or a distributor in the future, Mr Cramer? Mr C: "There's nothing to be done, is there? Shall we pass on to the
