and accuracy were being manufactures. TEe factory layout was
excellent and the facilities were ideally suited the manufacturing of
robots and other special purpose machine tools.
The plant Ryazan was obviously much older and more difficult
to operate. We were very interested the machines produced
Ryazan and were encouraged to see that many respects their
designs were moving the same direction as Colchester. Our own
experience this field is very considerable as you know.
Certainly" the facilities and the degree engineering competence
we saw our visit has assured us that we would be able to work
closely member companies the Soviet machine tool industry.
We await your formal enquiry sincere interest, once you have
been able to establish the precise locallon the installation. So far as
manufacture Colchester products licence is concerned, we remain
ready any time to enter detailed negotiations.
It is obvious that some return can only come joint UK-Soviet
manufactured system to be sold elsewhere the world and we shall
