Сотрудничество как вид взаимодействия проявляется во множестве конкретных взаимоотношений между людьми: деловое партнерство, дружба, солидарность, политический союз между партиями, государствами, сотрудничество между фирмами и др. Оно является основой объединения людей в организации или группы, проявления взаимопомощи, взаимоподдержки, любви.

Отличительные черты взаимодействий типа сотрудничества:

• обоюдная заинтересованность, выгодность взаимодействия для обеих сторон, при котором ни одна из них не ущемлена в той степени, которую сама сочтет неразумной, неприемлемой, т.е. каждая сторона получает то, что признает приемлемым, обоснованным;

• возможна направленность этого взаимодействия на достижение возникающей совместной цели (но не аналогичной), что содействует также укреплению гарантий сотрудничества, дружбы, партнерства;

• подкрепление длительного взаимовыгодного сотрудничества такими средствами обмена, как верность, признательность, уважение, поддержка.
