Because the one-quarter version reveals only a small portion of the Monogram, it appears to be very close to the viewer. Therefore, in program applications where the accompanying graphic signature is large, the one-quarter version establishes a stronger contrast of scale than does the threequarter version. Also, it may be used to introduce variety in a series of applications.
