Фрагмент уроку з навчання написання листа (o. Karpiuk, English 7, Unit 1, Lesson 4 ex. 5, p. 20)

Мета: Навчити учнів писати неформального листа за зразком.

Ex.1. p.18. Read the letter and say what qualities help people become good (true) friends.

Dear English Bridge,

I’d like to tell you about my best friend.

His name is Max. I met him at primary school. I like Maxi because he’s funny and he makes me laugh. He’s very kind and he’s always there where I need him.

We’ve got much in common. That’s why we often go out together. Max and I both like pop music and we often go to music shops. We play football together, too. He also likes to watch fencing competitions. I can’t understand this because I don’t like fencing.

I hope you liked my letter.

Ознайомлення з порадами щодо організації неформального листа.

T.: At the lesson we are going to speak about our friends. Who is your friend?

P.1, P.2…

T.: Are you different or alike? What do you have in common? Why are you different?

P.1, P.2…

T.: Open your books at page 18, find exercise 1. This is a letter. Read it silently to find out the reason for writing.

P.1: Victor writes about his best friend in his letter.

T.: What is his friend’s name? Find in the text the answers to the following questions, read and translate them:

Why does Victor like him?

What do they have in common?

What is the difference between them?

T.: Do you have a friend? Why do you like him/her?

What do you have in common?

What is the difference between you? (Запитання записані на дошці).

Open your exercise-books and write the answers.

T.: That’ll do. N, read what you’ve written.

T.: Look at the letter again. What is there in the right hand corner? (an address)

What is there below it? (the date)

How is the letter started? (with the greetings)

What comes next? (the reason for writing)

What does Victor write about in the next paragraph? (about his friend)

What can you write about your friend? Write some sentences by analogy in your exercise-books.

T.: That’ll do. N., read what you’ve written.

How does Victor finish his letter? (Best wishes)

T.: Open your books at page 20, find exercise 5. Let’s read useful tips for writing a letter.

T.: Write a letter to English Bridge about your friend using your notes.
