Your representative, Mr. N. Jackson, has informed us that you are planning to load our tanker "Leonardo da Vinci" with 38,000 tons of Crude Oil.
In this connection I have to draw your attention to the fact that in accordance with the Charter Party dated 10th July, 19 ... we are to take here a full cargo of Crude Oil of 45,000 tons consistent with the tanker's capacity on summer salt water draft of 36 feet and 9 inches.
As stipulated in the same Charter Party the Charterers need not supply a full cargo, but in that case they shall pay dead-freight, as if the vessel has been loaded with a full cargo.
Under the circumstances we would ask you to confirm by an official letter that you have direct instructions from the Charterers to load our vessel with only 38,000 tons of cargo and thai they are willing to pay the deadweight.

We take this opportunity to inform you that the discharging rate of our pumps is 2900 tons per hour at the maximum pressure of 9 kgs/sq. cm.
Please also note that under the Charter Party the cargo shall be discharged at the Shipowners' risk only up to the vessel's permanent connections.

As it was agreed with your representative, Mr. J. Howard, before discharging the cargo all the ullages were jointly checked and found to correspond to the Ullage Reports issued in the port of load-

THIS IS TO CERTIFY that we, the undersigned, have jointly taken samples of Crude Oil from 100% of the tanks carrying this grade of cargo under Charter Party dated 1st Sept., 19 ... The samples have been taken from the tanks of the m/t "Leonardo Da Vinci" before discharging them.
The average sample composed of separate samples taken from the above mentioned tanks has been bottled into 3 bottles, one of which sealed with the Consignee's seal has been delivered to the Master of the tanker, the two other ones sealed with the Master's seal, have been delivered to the Consignee.
