I have learned from your Superintendent, Mr. Johnes, that you are planning to load some 30 additional containers aboard our vessel.
So far as loading of the agreed number of containers has been completed in compliance with your Cargo Plan, to retain the ship's stability we shall need some loaded containers to be shifted aboard the ship.
Please detail a stevedoring gang to carry out shifting of the following containers:
20 containers (20 footers) stowed in Hold No. 1, to be removed into Holds Nos: 3 & 5.
Ten 20 footers to be removed from Hold No. 4 on to the deck.
After this shifting has been carried out we shall be ready to take aboard the above mentioned containers.

We refer to the exchange of letters during our last call at

your port on our previous voyage on 27th January, 19 . . ., concern-ing container No. 179821 under our B/L. No. 172.
According to your Discharge Record dated 25th January, 19 ... this container had been duly discharged from our vessel, but the Consignees, Messrs. M. Windsfield & Co., Inc., claimed that it had not reached them.
As it was agreed on that occasion you were to look into this matter and carry out an appropriate investigation.
We should be obliged if you let us have the results of the investigation.
