Viewing the Schematic Design

The schematic viewer, shown in Figure 5-1, allows you to view a module netlist as a schematic diagram. You can view modules both before and after optimization. The schematic viewer displays only one module at a time in the viewer. To display more than one module you must select the New Window option from the module browser (see Table 3-27 on page 75). You can have multiple windows open at a time with views to many different modules.

You can pan and zoom, display fanin and fanout cones, and display critical paths and timing values. You can group instances to make a new module, dissolve instances, or change the reference point of an instance.
