6.1. Render the following text in English.
Идея глобализации – одна из самых молодых социологических конструкций; вплоть до 1987 г. база данных библиотеки Конгресса в Вашингтоне не содержала книг, в названии которых использовалось бы данное понятие. С начала 90-х годов количество книг и статей на эту тему стало увеличиваться лавинообразно, и сегодня подавляющее большинство экономистов считают, что хозяйственная глобализация является наиболее значимым социальным процессом конца ХХ века. Идея глобализации стала в последние годы популярной по нескольким причинам. Во-первых, западный мир вышел из тяжелых испытаний 70-х-80-х годов и восстановил свою роль мировой экономической доминанты. Во-вторых, информационная революция позволила как бы связать воедино отдельные регионы планеты. В-третьих, крушение коммунизма, а затем и кризис в Азии создали иллюзию победы либеральных ценностей в мировом масштабе. В-четвертых, серьезное значение имел растущий культурный обмен между странами периферии и «первым миром».
Современная «глобализация» является по существу процессом консолидации развитых стран в их противостоянии остальному миру. Особенно заметно это обособление при анализе рынка труда. Сегодня в ЕС лишь 2% рабочей силы находят свое применение вне национальных границ, в то время как поток иммигрантов из-за пределов Сообщества постоянно нарастает; как следствие в странах ЕС возникает негативное отношение к иммигрантам. Если в 50-е годы 68 легальных иммигрантов, прибывавших в США, происходили из Европы или Канады и принадлежали к среднему классу, то в 80-е более 83% были азиатского или латиноамериканского происхождения и, как правило, не имели хорошего образования.
Создание глобализации мирового порядка предполагает сегодня, на наш взгляд, не стихийное его формирование, а организованное построение на основе ряда фундаментальных принципов, важнейшими из которых являются: высокий уровень экономического развития интегрируемых стран или их способность достичь такового в обозримом будущем при наличии культурной близости этим странам центра; долгосрочный характер партнерства, основанный на формировании целостной хозяйственной системы; и , наконец, признание того, что «ценой» присоединения к развитому миру является интеграция в политическое сообщество, или, иначе говоря, утрата элементов национального суверенитета.
