Exercise 12. Turn the following sentences into the Future Perfect. Translate the sentences into Ukrainian:

Model: I had done my report by 9 o’clock. – I shall have done my report by 9 o’clock.

1. They had opened the new outlet by the first of November. 2. The general manager had looked through the ideas by that time. 3. We had discussed the situation at the foreign exchange market by four o’clock in the afternoon. 4. The students had learned all these texts by the end of the year. 5. We had signed the contract with foreign partners by Monday. 6. I had translated the article by the time the teacher came. 7. Had you made an appointment with our partners by the time I returned?

Exercise 13. Make up questions in the Future Perfect:

1. (she / arrive) to the office by 10 o’clock? 2. (it / stop) raining by tomorrow morning? 3. When (you / finish) the internal records of the firm? 4. (the accountant / do) the report on the financial state of our firm? 5. When (you / calculate) our promotional expenditures? 6. (she / transmit) information for our partners by the time I return? 7. (he/ finish) to distribute the leaflets with our products by next week?

Exercise 14. Replace the infinitives in brackets by the Future Indefinite or the Future Perfect:

1. We (to discuss) all the problems by 2 o’clock. 2. You (to perfect) you English by the time you come back from the US. 3. He (to receive) the e-mail from his sponsor tomorrow. 4. I (to receive) my promotion in this firm by next November. 5. By the time he transfers money to our account, we (to prepare) all necessary papers. 6. I (to finish) market research analysis by 3 o’clock. 7. The secretary (to meet) our partner tomorrow afternoon in the office. 8. She (to learn) fluent English to communicate at the negotiations before she moves to New York? 9. He (to complete) probably the proposal by the time he leaves this afternoon. 10. We (to increase) our profit by the end of the year.

Exercise 15. Use the verbs in brackets in the Future Indefinite, Future Continuous or Future Perfect:

1. She will be tonight as she (to work) all day. 2. They (to meet) us by the time they have to leave Ukraine. 3. The company representative (to wait) for us at the airport when our plane lands. 4. We (to let) you know when the top manager (to call). 5. You (to have) a house-warming party when you move in the office? 6. I (to meet) you at the station at nine p.m. tomorrow. – My train already (to arrive) by that time. 7. Don’t be late! Delegates (to wait) for you in the conference hall. 8. What language your secretary (to speak) by next year?

Exercise 16. Choose the correct tense of the verb from the brackets:

1. In twenty years’ time most people (will use / will be using/will have used) the Internet. 2. By this time next year our firm (will move / will be moving/will have moved) to the international market. 3. When he retires, he (will work/will be working / will have worked) as a manager in the international company. 4. As soon as we reach our goal, we (shall earn / shall be earning / shall have earned) much more money. 5. They (will change / will be changing / will have changed) their pre-testing of goods by November. 6. I (shall get/ shall be getting / shall have got) a job according to my speciality as soon as I graduate from the Institute. 7. He will come back in summer. Exercise 17. Match two parts of the sentence:
