1. Dierent [‘dɪf(ə)rənt]
Другой, не такой, разный, различный, непохожий. Dierent употребляется перед исчисляемыми и неисчисляемыми существительными и подчеркивает несходство; ant. – similar, the same; syn. – not
the same:

Dierent относится к прилагательным сравнения, и поэтому в
отрицательных предложениях употребляется с no, а не с not:

Diverse или Various?
• A person of various/diverse interests can talk on many subjects. –
Человек с широким кругом интересов может говорить на разные темы.
В приведенном примере есть скрытый подтекст. Various просто
отмечает разнообразие интересов (их много), а вот diverse подчеркивает не только количество (очень много), но и то, сколь мало эти
интересы связаны между собой в силу своего разнообразия.
