§1. Blunder [‘blʌndə]
Грубая, зачастую глупая, ошибка; промах, просчет. Слово ча­сто используют, когда говорят об ошибках чиновников и полити­ков. Поэтому blunder обычно сопровождается прилагательными administrative, economic и political:
• The president has made a series of political blunders. – Президент совершил ряд политических ошибок.
• I’ve made a terrible blunder. – Я совершил ужасную ошибку.

§2. Error [‘erə]
Ошибка; оплошность, заблуждение; погрешность в расчетах, системная ошибка. Причина ошибки чаще всего небрежность или безответственность. В силу своей официальности error восприни- мается тяжелее, чем mistake. Error – это:
1) ошибка в поведении, сознательное или случайное нарушение
общепринятой нормы:
• He realized his error in not attending the funeral. – Он понял свою ошибку, когда не пошел на похороны.
2) слово, которое используют в документах или при сбое ком-
пьютера:

§3. Mistake [mɪ’steɪk]
Ошибка; заблуждение, недоразумение, т.е. это то, что люди постоянно совершают в быту или в процессе учебы в отличие от error, которая характеризует неправильное поведение людей или сбой в работе машины. Mistake обозначает, как правило, не очень серьезную ошибку, тяжесть которой усиливают прилагательные
bad, costly, glaring, serious и т. п. Разговорное mistake и книжное error иногда могут быть взаимозаменяемыми:
• He made a mistake/an error in his calculations. – Он допустил ошибку в своих расчетах.
• The exam paper contains numerous spelling mistakes/errors. – Эк­заменационная работа содержит массу орфографических оши­бок. Такая взаимозаменяемость возможна не всегда:

§1. Border [‘bɔːdə]
Border – это граница, разделяющая два государства. Также это
