Настоящее пособие является дополнительным материалом к учебнику «Business Result Advanced» Kate Baade, Christopher Holloway, Jim Scrivener & Rebecca Turner (Oxford University Press, 2009) и предназначено для студентов вечернего отделения Международного института управления МГИМО (У) МИД РФ, обучающихся по направлениям «Юриспруденция» (специализация «Правовое регулирование рыночной экономики») и «Менеджмент» (специализация «Государственное и муниципальное управление»).
Данное пособие содержит грамматические упражнения, способствующие выработке соответствующих навыков, переводы с русского языка на английский, направленные как на освоение нового лексического материала, та и на устранение языковых трудностей, характерных для носителей русского языка.
Каждый урок Пособия начинается списком слов и словосочетаний, подлежащих активному усвоению.
Пособие написано в соответствии с Программой и основано на принципах компетентностного подхода к изучению иностранного языка. Ставит своей целью формирование различных языковых компетенций; читать и понимать литературу на английском языке, переводить профессионально-ориентированные тексты, понимать часто встречающиеся в профессиональной литературе идиоматические выражения, метафоры и другие фигуры речи, кроме того, понимать имплицитную информацию в речи и учитывать особенности межкультурного общения в деловой среде.
Пособие включает в себя 12 разделов, каждый из которых посвящен определенной теме. Кроме того, в конце каждого раздела предлагаются дополнительные тексты для работы по данной теме. Так же авторы сочли необходимым включить в Пособие упражнения, раскрывающие правила деловой переписки, столь широко используемой сегодня в электронной среде.
Необходимо отметить, что авторы учебника руководствовались Законом Российской Федерации от 9 июня 1993 года № 5351-1 «Об авторском праве и смежных правах», допускающим использование правомерно обнародованных произведений и отрывков в качестве иллюстраций (в широком смысле) в издания учебного характера в объёме, оправданном поставленной целью или методикой с обязательным указанием автора, произведения которого используются, и источника заимствования без согласия автора и без выплаты авторского вознаграждения.
