Participle I and Participle II.
We visited the plant producing tractors. A broken cup lay on the table.
The rising sun was hidden by clouds.
Look at the girl standing at the window.
Knowing English well he translated the text quickly.
There are many illustrated magazines in our library.
Аll books taken from the library must be returned.

Having written Having been written |
В русском языке соответствует деепричастию совершенного вида: Не left the room having written a note to his mother.
Having been sent to the wrong address the letter didn’t reach him.
Reading is her favourite occupation.
Her greatest pleasure is reading.
He finished reading the book.
I remember reading it.
I am fond of reading.
I had the pleasure of reading in the newspaper of your success.
After reading the letter I put it into the drawer
I think of going to the south in the autumn.
I remember reading this book
-
He likes reading aloud.
-
|
Active |
Passive |
Indefinite Perfect |
reading having read |
being read having been read |
Swimming is a good exercise.
I think of going to the south in the summer
He likes inviting his friends to his house.
He likes being invited by his friends.
Reading is my favourite hobby. –
She is afraid of bathing there – Она боится купаться там.
He went away without leaving his address –
She reproached herself for having said it.
