Методи осадження.

Обидва покриття осаджувалися в гальванічній магнетронній іоно-розпилювальній системі.

Для покриття на основі двусерністого молібдену використовувалися три двусерністо-молібденові мішені й одна титанова. Спочатку наноситься тонкий шар титана з гарною адгезією, а потім підложки обертаються й проходять перед кожною мішенню по черзі так, щоб осаджувалося покриття, яке складається із суміші двусерністого молібдену й титана. Композиційне покриття із двусерністого молібдену й титана було зареєстроване й запатентоване як MoST. Потужність на титановій і двусерністо-молібденовій мішенях вибиралася так, щоб одержати покриття із змістом титану близько 15%. Кількість металу в покритті є вирішальним при визначенні властивостей. Типова товщина покриття – 1мкм. Титанова мішень відключається наприкінці процесу, щоб забезпечити однорідний сіро-блакитний колір покріття. Температура під час процесу осадження не була нижче 100єС.

Процедура одержання вуглецевого покриття схожа. Тут використовуються три вуглецеві мішені й одна хромова. Спочатку осаджується хромовий адгезійний шар, а потім знову підложки обертаються й проходять перед кожною із мішеней по черзі. Потужності, обрані для вуглецевої й хромової мішеней такі, щоб одержати покриття із приблизно 20%-м змістом хрому. Температура під час процесу осадження не перевищувала 250єС.
