The Russian Federation has consistently voiced its support for the formation of a global rapid response system to meet present-day challenges and threats, above all, such things as international terrorism, organized crime, financial fraud, corruption and other manifestations of transnational crime.
Building an effective system to counter money laundering is currently one of the priorities for the national security and development strategy. Russia takes an active position on all AML/CFT issues in the international scene. The national AML/CFT regime in Russia is being constantly improved, primarily taking into account the recommendations of mutual evaluations performed by the FATF, EAG and MONEYVAL experts.
