III.Translate from Russian into English:
1. Для большинства домохозяйств ставка зарплаты является самой важной ценой в экономике. Это единственный (или главный) источник дохода.
2. Экономисты часто применяют термин “труд” в широком смысле, включая оплату труда 1)рабочих в обычном понимании этого слова, то есть “голубых и белых воротничков” cамых разных профессий; 2)специалистов — юристов, врачей, стоматологов, преподавателей и т. д. и 3)владельцев мелких предприятий — парикмахеров, водопроводчиков и множество различных торговцев — за трудовые услуги.
3. Зарплата имеет тенденцию к дифференциации по странам, регионам, различным видам деятельности и индивидуумам.
4. Ставки зарплаты значительно выше в США, чем в Китае и Индии, потому что в Америке спрос на труд выше по отношению к его предложению.
5. Cпрос на труд в США выше потому, что он высокопродуктивен.
6. Реальный доход (общий заработок) на одного рабочего может расти такими же темпами, что и объем производства на одного рабочего. Самый простой случай — это классический пример с Робинзоном Крузо на необитаемом острове. Количество кокосовых орехов, которое он может собрать, или рыбы, которую он может поймать за час, и есть его реальная зарплата.
7. Чисто конкурентный рынок труда характеризуется следующими чертами: 1)большое число фирм конкурируют друг с другом при найме конкретного вида труда, 2)многочисленные квалифицированные рабочие, имеющие одинаковую квалификацию, независимо друг от друга предлагают данный вид услуг труда.
8. Почему игроки бейсбольных команд основной лиги получают в среднем в год 485 тыс. долларов, а медсестры — 27 тыс. долларов, школьные учителя — 26 тыс. долларов,
9. Если предложение какого-то конкретного вида труда очень велико по отношению к спросу на него, то в результате зарплата будет низкой. А если спрос большой, а предложение относительно небольшое, то зарплата будет очень высокой.
10. Рабочие чисто географически привязаны к одним и тем же местам проживания. Они неохотно идут на то, чтобы покидать друзей, родственников, сотрудников, заставлять своих детей менять школу, продать свой дом , нести расходы и неудобства, связанные с адаптацией к новой работе и новому окружению. Как сказал более двух веков назад Адам Смит: “Из всех видов багажа человек наиболее труден к транспортировке”. Нежелание или отсутствие у рабочего возможности мигрировать обусловливает сохранение географической дифференциации зарплаты для одной и той же профессии.
