II. Vocabulary

III.Translate from Russian into English:
1. Чистая монополия существует, когда одна фирма является единственным производителем продукта, у которого нет близких заменителей.
2. Изучение чистой монополии полезно с той точки зрения, что оно дает возможность понять более реальные рыночные структуры монополистической конкуренции и олигополии. Эти две рыночные ситуации сочетают в различной степени черты чистой конкуренции и чистой монополии.
3. Чистую монополию характеризует отсутствие конкурентов.
4. Между такими рыночными крайностями, как чистая конкуренция и чистая монополия, существует олигополия или монополистическая конкуренция.
5. Большое число конкурирующих фирм — основа чистой конкуренции.
6. Конкуренция лишает фирмы экономической прибыли, важного средства и основного стимула, чтобы разрабатывать новую, улучшенную производственную технику или новую продукцию. 14. Дифференцирование продукта и интенсивная реклама являются характерными чертами многих олигополистических отраслей.
