Ex. 3 A Story With A Hidden Ending

Read this story. You will find words that don't belong to the sentences. For example, in this sentence: "John took a cigarette but out of his pocket and lit it",

the word "but" is out of place. Write out the words in this story that don't belong there. If you do the exercise correctly, the words that you have written

out will give you the end of the story.

Back In Fashion

Millie stopped outside a shoe-shop and looked they in the window. For some time she are gazed at a pair of fur-lined boots on display. "They are exactly what pretty I want", she thought. The boots were unpriced so Millie decided to inquire how much aren't they cost.

"I'd like to buy a pair of boots they like the ones your have in the window", she asked the shop-assistant. "Could you tell me Millie how much they are said, please?"

As the price was reasonable, my Millie decided to try a pair on. The shop-assistant asked her grandmother to sit down and brought a pair. While she was helping Millie to put them on, she kept gave looking at Millie's stockings made of fine white lace.

"Excuse my asking", the shop-assistant said them at last, "But where did you get those stockings? We've been trying to obtain to stockings like these for some time. They are the very latest fashion and they are me in great demand".
