Становление и развитие высшего профессионального экологического образования в России анализ проблем. Монография

The monograph examines the problems of establishment and evolution of professional environmental education in the higher school in our country: the social and methodological premises for the development of this branch of education, the contradictions and flaws of the first environmental specializations, as well as the conceptual framework of the modern content of professional environmental education in the higher school in the area of natural sciences. Analysis of public documents, bibliographical sources and expert opinions has helped to single out four stages in the establishment and evolution of professional environmental education in the higher school in the area of natural sciences in Russia. The key contradictions are identified and solutions to these contradictions are offered for each of the four stages. The competency approach in contemporary environmental education is a major focus of the monograph.
