The trademark Philips determines the direction of activity of the company from the investigations and working out up to the delivery of advanced and competitive goods and services to the consumer.

The company Philips has done a lot to support its trademark, inculcating in the world the promising motto “Lets change the life to better” that appeared in 1995. The efforts of Philips are directed to advance the wide range of its production from shavers to semiconductors, from TV sets to toasters, from electric light bulbs to the whole laser modules.

The company Philips plays a leading role in the development of the world of digital electronics. The basis of the most part of these technological achievements was laid in the laboratories of Philips Research.

The representation Philips Research was founded in 1914 in Eindkhoven, Holland. It became one of the largest private research organizations of the world that has laboratories in different countries (Holland, Belgium, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the USA, China, Taiwan and India) and the staff includes nearly 2500 employees. The scientific and technical achievements of Philips change completely the perception of the people in the sphere of technologies. According to the concept of the intellectual surrounding some devices will be disappearing gradually from our houses and will be replaced by a single net of devices imperceptible for our eye and which will have the necessary functional capacities. Inspired by this idea, the researchers of the company Philips are working on the realizing of technologies of tomorrow in such spheres as: displays, communication and storage of information.

The scientists that represent a wide range of disciplines – from electrical engineering and physics up to chemistry, mathematics, mechanics, information processing technologies and programming support (software) work in tight cooperation with each other.
