DVD-Cameras

Hitachi represents new generation of DVD-cameras. Models DZ-MV 350E and DZ-MV380E combine miniature sizes, control comfort and unique DVD-technology.

In 2000 Hitachi presented the first DVD-camera in the world and made a great revolution, which marked the final victory of the new format over the tape. During 3 years Hitachi DVD-cameras were being honored with the most flattering references from either professionals or amateurs. They received many rewards from the world known EMMY for “the revolutionary discovery in the sphere of household cameras” up to the reward from DVD-Alliance “Golden Disc” for “the most original design on the base of DVD”. But Hitachi continued to improve their product.

DVD-cameras of the second generation have already exceeded the “pilot” model in the functional capacities in 2002.

In 2003 the third generation of DVD-cameras emerged. DZ-MV350E and DZ-MV380E models are the ideal combination of compact sizes and unique DVD-technology. New DVD-cameras are 6 cm in width and can go in the pocket of your jacket or in the handbag. For its special rounded body you can place the camera on your palm. But the main merit of the new cameras is unique capacities hidden inside it:

• filming and making photo images of the highest quality on the DVD and SD-cards;

• record playback on the ordinary DVD-player;

• the widest capacities of reduction (from the simple adjustment of image with the help of the camera up to the complex processing on the PC)

and a great number of other functions that facilitate control and make records more professional.

We have already used to the fantastic quality of DVD-format and to its unquestionable merits over the tape:

• the longevity and reliability of data storage,

• the invariability of quality of the record with the time,

• the efficiency of access up to any place on the disc and

• the absence of such notion as “rewind”.

Emergence of Hitachi DVD-cameras has made all these merits available for amateur filming. There is no risk of sudden destruction of turned out episodes. The principle of the record on the disc lies in packing of voids found by camera automatically.

For recording an image cameras use progressive technology MPEG2 in combination with mega pixel CCD-matrix and new hypersensitive optics that raises quality of the picture to the highest level. The electron regulator of image eliminates tiny errors in the record and instability of image. The duration of the record depends upon the chosen regime of filming – Xtra Fine, Fine or Standard.

When filming in Xtra Fine the system of data coding with VBR (Variable Bit Rate) is used which tunes automatically the speed of data transmission depending on the state of the filming object. When filming dynamic scenes the flow of data recording accelerates up to 10 Mbit/sec for the highly sharp image transmission. If the image is not mobile and static the speed of the flow is reduced up to 3Mbit/sec that helps to use free space on the disc more sensibly.

When filming in Fine and Standard the speed of data transmission is permanent – 6 Mbit/sec correspondingly.

Cameras are equipped by a great number of various functions. So your records won’t differ from professional ones. Tenfold optic and two hundred and forty fold digit increase will allow you not to let a single tiny detail slip. The key Full Auto is also very convenient. One keystroke will help you to fix parameters of exposure, balance of white and focusing, the most optimum for the given conditions of filming.

To record cameras use discs of two formats – DVD-RAM and DVD-R; each of them has its own advantages. DVD-RAM is double-sided. The record can be done on two sides of the disc. It can be recorded practically infinitely, up to 100,000 times. It can be used for filming and making photos, alternating video fragments with photographs in any sequence. When filming on DVD-R – only one side of the disc is used and recording can be done only once and for all. By the way it is used to record only video images. DVD-R can be played back on the ordinary DVD-player and by DVD-ROM-devices. (3420 p.s.)
