1. Repeat grammar: The Present Continuous (Progressive) Active / Passive ; Present Simple Active / Passive.

2. Tell your partner that you are not, for example, translating. Tell him what you are doing using given below words and expressions. Do everything in Present Continuous Active:

To solve a problem, to read a newspaper, to prepare for examinations, to wait for a friend, to study English, to plant trees, to answer a question, to ask, to help a friend, to go to college, to write a letter, to telephone.

3. Translate from Russian into English in Present Continuous/ Present Simple Active:

a)Ты знаешь где Кейт? - Не знаю, но думаю, что она сейчас в библиотеке, готовится к семинару по теме «Голосемянные и покрытосемянные».

b) Кейт обычно ходит в библиотеку по понедельникам?

c) - Смотри! У ёлки опадают иголки.

- Ну и что, мы же знаем, что у хвойных деревьев иголки обычно очень быстро заменяются.
