My mum is always talking to me as if I were (was) a child. –
Past Perfect Continuous: He acted as though nothing had happened. She looks as if she had been working without rest.
3) Выражения типа It is (about) time «пора», It is high time
It is time we had dinner. It is high time I were (was) leaving.
После It is time допустимо использовать и инфинитив.
ните:
It’s time to go to bed. It’s time for you to go to bed. It’s time you went to bed.
We had better hurry up or we will miss the train. You had better not drink this water.
I would rather stay indoors until the rain stops. –
I didn’t like the party yesterday. I would rather have stayed at home. –
I would rather you did / had done smth.
I would rather you came with us. Would you rather they hadn’t been told anything?
I’d rather cook the dinner now.
I’d rather have cooked the dinner yesterday. –
I’d rather you cooked the dinner now.
I’d rather you had cooked the dinner yesterday. –
