to take for granted – допускать, считать как само собой разумеющееся.

to take in – 1) принимать гостя; брать жильца / to let someone stay in your house as a guest.

to take in lodgers – сдавать комнаты жильцам.

•She is taking in paying guests to help pay for her house. Она берет квартирантов, чтобы иметь возможность оплачивать дом.

2) обмануть, сбить столку, провести / to deceive or trick someone, to make someone believe something that is not true.

to take out – 1) вынимать / to remove something from a particular place.

to talk – говорить.

to talk about/of – рассказать, говорить о чем-либо.

to talk at someone – говорить бурно о ком-либо, не учитывая реакцию собеседника / to speak to someone without listening to them, there is no dialogue.

•She just talks at me. She never lets me say a word. Она говорит одна. Она не позволяет мне сказать ни слова.

to talk (a)round – 1) говорить пространно, не касаясь сущности разговора, избегать обсуждения важных проблем / to avoid discussing the important point.

•I feel we didn’t get to the point, we talked around it for hours.
