VII. Read the following news items. Translate them. Write different types of questions to them. Define the tense form of each verb:

  1. Two men were questioned at Marylebone Police Station tonight in connection with last week’s armed robbery in Luton, in which $25000 was stolen from a Securior van. Another man has already been arrested for the crime.

  2. Four people were taken to hospital after a fire at their home in Santa Barbara early this morning. They were sent home after treatment for minor burns. Police believe the fire was started deliberately.

  3. Disk jockey Paul Asherton has been banned from driving for two years. The court was told that it was the third time Asherton had been stopped for speeding in six months. He admitted driving at more than 70 k. p/h.

  4. Lorry-driver Albert Whittaker had a lucky escape this afternoon when a concrete block, which was being loaded on to his lorry, fell off and landed inches from his feet. He is being treated for shock.

  5. Missing student Sheila Smith, aged 19, has been found alive and well in Seattle. She, who disappeared two days ago, said had left home to join her dream, the circus. Her parents are travelling to Seattle tonight. Meanwhile, Sheila is being looked after at a local Police Station.

VIII. Answer the questions using the Passive Voice. See the model.
