Three types of if— sentences can be inverted without if.
a) e.g. If they were to escape, there would be an outcry. Were they to escape, there would be an outcry.
b) e.g. If you should hear anything, let me know. Якби ти випадково почув щось, повідом мене(дай мені знати).
Should you hear anything, let me know. Все ж якби ти почув щось, повідом мені.
Note: Should hear — is the Suppositional Mood. It is used after if it the fulfillment of the condition is unlikely. (Suppositional Mood вживається в підрядних умовних реченнях, що стосуються майбутнього часу, для підкреслення малої ймовірності припущення)
