Exercise 6. SO THAT vs. BECAUSE. Make up as many meaningful sentences as you can.

Exercise 8. Which of the dependent clauses below express (a) purpose, and which express (b) result? Why?

1.The police used a loud-hailer so that everyone in the building heard them.

Exercise 9. Translate the following sentences into English paying attention to the difference between purpose and result clauses.
