A SWOT analysis is a technique used to determine and define your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. 

Strengths:

  • Well educated

  • Grasp of 2 languages

  • Patient and prudent

  • Eageness to learn quickly

  • Creative

  • Interpersonal skills

Weaknesses:

  • Easily distracted

  • Often procrastinate

  • Very emotional and loud

  • Lack of direct work experience.

Opportunities:

  • Networking events.

  • Being an alumni.

  • May have to start in entry level role.

Threats:

  • Not developing confidence going forward.

  • Expectations, experience does not match expected role.

Lack of self knowledge

18. You are a project manager supervising a multinational team responsible for project implements. Suggest ideas/strategies with regard to improving communication among team members. Take into account the cultural specifics which can affect communication among your subordinates

Taking into account the specifics of intercultural communication of subordinates, some events may be held to improve communication, also lectures and practical seminars of intercultural communication. It will definetely create a dynamic working atmosphere and will help a multinational team to achieve their targets.

19. You work for a company that has grown rapidly over the last few years. Growth is now slowing down due to high staff turnover because of the insufficient salary package. Brainstorm some perks/fringe benefits likely to increase the efficiency for the staff.

Perks or fringe benefits that are likely to increase the efficiency for the staff : due to absence of money to offer, we could suggest extra day offs, days of pizza, comfortable new seats, free coffee and fruits, fitness room.

20. You work as a hr manager for a big multinational company. Comment on the strategies you are going to implement with regard to conflict resolution if any should arise in one of the departments

How to resolve conflict situation if any arise: 1. Define the conflict situation 2. Evaluate the possible options to resolve. 3. Plan and choose . 4. Don’t decide rapidly, evaluate one more time, may be new information about the issue occur. 5. When everything is clear, start to implement your plan. 6. Then, you should measure your success. *Take into account hard and soft skills, analyze which one is stronger and which one is weaker.

21. You are a corporate culture specialist. Speak on the issue of cultural differences in the approach to conflict and the way they can affect working relations.

The main problem is the fact that different cultures react differently on conflicts. For example, Americans are direct and that’s why they will resolve the problematic/controversial issue as fast as possible, because it may influence the whole process and waste time. If we speak about Asian countries ( Japan, China), they tend to be polite and avoid all the conflicts, try to safe face, and give you a vague hint upon the problem. That’s why it’s important to take it into consideration.
