12. You are a team leader in charge of change-management project in multinational company. Think about changes you would like to implement at the company you work in.

Firstly, we need to look out for a problem or conflict situation (if exists). After that, we make a plan, following by which we will achieve our goal - enhance the productivity and implementchanges. As we work in multinational company, obviously, the problems with communication and achieving goals may appear. For example, we could hold special meetings where everyone presents their culture.

13. Imagine you are to arrange a meeting in a multinational company. Focus on the cultural aspects to be taken into account while planning the agenda.

While planning the agenda for a meeting in a multinational company, first aspect that should be taken into consideration is time. What is the tome difference in your and your partner company. It may happen that you have 7-hour difference. In such case, the most efficient and low-budget option is to arrange the meeting by taking the middle path and as it is widely known, 16:00 PM is ideal time both for India and America.

14. You have a plan staffing over the Christmas period. Everyone wants time off? and you feel priority should go to those with small children. However? there are childless staff who feel unfairly treated because they always have to work at Christmas. What will you o to resolve the problem in a fair way?

I would like to present you my idea how to cope with this problem of planning holidays. If I were the manager of the company, I would ask everyone his plans for the coming Christmas. I'm pretty much sure that everyone would like to spend time with his/her family, friends, etc.

In this case, I would offer them a kind of questionnaire where I will put questions concerning Christmas - attitude, traditions, willingness to celebrate.

If the results were negative and I couldn't distinguish volunteers to work at holidays, I would offer them additional perks. For example, a higher salary or additional days-off after holidays.

In my mind, such approach could lead to a positive result.

15. Imagine yourself working in risk management department of a multinational company. Speak about the potential risks (pest) facing the business

Firstly, we should accept that we can’t anticipate everything and accept uncertainties, be flexible enough to respond to changes as they come. PEST analysis for multinational company. Political: changes that happen in subdivisions in government, legislation and situation with corruption. Economic: changes in subdivisions of labour supply and costs, impact of our competitors’ behavior. Social & Cultural: change of public opinion in different countries and cultures, tastes, attitudes and population changes. Technological: new technologies that appear in different countries, changing costs of communications

16. You are a business analyst. Submit pest/swot analysis of the company you work for (the university you study at)

University PEST analysis. Political: the rise of payment may lead to a decrease of the flow of newcomers that’s why by providing high quality education, may maintain the level of newcomers. Also change of the rector influence the educational process. Economic: payment in other universities. Social & Cultural: recent changes in tastes of youngsters to get higher education abroad makes our university to enhance the amount of international students. Technological: new systems of education may be implemented, for example distant education.
