Business reading Great tips to making the break
If you are thinking of starting а company you may find these ~, tips useful.
1. If you want to succed you must have an interest in the business you are going into. Venture capitalists with ideas for dry-cleaners who have never had their clothes dry-cleaned don't have much chance.
2. You should be able to build а team. It is absolutely necessary for the success of your business. There's never а lack of money but good management is often in short supply.
3. You need very careful cash management. Merchant banks ' round up to the nearest thousand but entrepreneurs have to know where every penny is going.
4. Don't fall in love with your idea and don't be afraid of changes. Customers' needs or desires or а new development in technology create markets for ideas. You can't до it.
5. Be very specific about your target market. Think who might be interested in your products or services.
6. Ве prepared to work longer hours than you've ever worked before. Running а business may turn out to be much more difficult and time-consuming than you expected.
7. Have а realistic view of your perspectives. Remember that the vast majority of businesses fail. Five out of ten go bankrupt, four out of ten break even and only one in ten makes money.
8. New businesses are either lemons or pearls: lemons take three to four years to ripen, pearls seven to ten, so be prepared for а long haul. The Pret А Manger sandwich chain spent five years in its first location before expanding - an overnight success' that has taken 15 years to develop.
