Вживання The Present Progressive Tense
|
Вживається для вираження дії у розвитку, в момент мовлення. Дія почалася в найближчому минулому, продовжується в теперішньому і, можливо, закінчиться в якийсь момент в майбутньому. |
Children are sleeping right now. I need an umbrella because it is raining. The students are reading for their examinations. |

Часто дія має загальний характер, тобто, щось відбувається у розвитку (this week, this month, this year). |
I am taking five courses this semester. She is trying to improve her English. He is writing another book this year. |

Для вираження майбутньої дії, коли йдеться про особисті плани на найближче майбутнє. |
We are meeting next Saturday. |

Future Progressive

Іноді немає різниці між вживанням Future Progressive та Simple Future, особливо, коли дія трапиться в невизначений час у майбутньому, як це показано на прикладах (d) та (е). |
