.pdf–ize ,–ise, –yse – суффиксы английских глаголов, из которых – является самым употребительным. Суффиксы – и – употребляются гораздо реже и в ограниченных случаях. Самые употребительные слова с этими суффиксами: analyse, paralyse, advertise,
сhastise.
Есть еще несколько слов, оканчивающихся на: –cise, –guise,
–mise, –prise, –rise, –vise в которых –ise не суффикс, а часть корня:
exercise, disguise, premise, surprise, enterprise, arise, advise
Суффикс –ize заимствован из греческого языка, но сейчас используется в словах разного происхождения. Суффикс очень продуктивный, и постоянно привносит в английский язык новые слова:
character – характер criticism – критика crystal – кристалл organ – орган
national – национальный sympathy – сочувствие utility – польза
winter – зима

суффиксы наречий
Самый основной суффикс наречий — это суффикс – ly. С помощью данного суффикса образованы очень многие прилагательные.

Если прилагательное оканчивалось на –e, эта буква сохраняет-
ся перед суффиксом –ly: |

closely – внимательно, пристально (to examine closely) fair – справедливo (to play fair)
fairly – довольно-таки (fairly good) hard – труднo, усердно (to work hard)
hardly – едва, еле-еле, вряд ли (He hardly moved.) late – поздно (to come late)
lately – в последнее время (He hasn’t walked lately) near – близкo (to live near)
nearly– почти (He nearly died)
