УРОК 1

Підтема: Країни та нації.

Мета: Повторити назви країн Європи; ознайомити з назвами англомовних країн світу.

Навчати давати відповідь на запитання What nationality are you/is he? і т. ін. Повторити суплетивні форми множини іменників.

Розвивати вміння спілкуватися. Виховувати дружелюбне ставлення до людей з інших країн світу.

Обладнання: Підручник, робочий зошит, карта світу (с. 4—5 підручника), картки із зображенням прапорів країн, що їх було вивчено (H0J, картки для роботи в групах (Н0₂) та в парах (Н0₃).

І. ПІДГОТОВКА ДО СПРИЙНЯТТЯ ІНШОМОВНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ

Greeting 1. Привітання. Вітання з початком нового навчального року.

Т: Dear boys and girls! I’m very glad to see you again! Now you are pupils of the fourth form. I can see you’ve become taller and older and maybe more serious and respon­sible. I hope you had a good rest in summer and are ready to start working again.

Introduction 2. Знайомство з метою та завданнями навчання в 4 класі.

Т: This year we’ll meet Bill, his family and his friends again; we’ll look at their places and speak about housework, rooms in the house and things in these rooms. Together with Bill and his friend from Ukraine Taras we’ll travel around London, do the sightseeing and shop­ping, have a meal in a cafe, visit a library. Discussing different aspects of Englishmen’s life you’ll also learn to talk about your own life and to relate language to your experience.

3. Presentation of the Textbook Знайомство з підручником.

T: Now let’s look through the textbook.

Who is the author of this textbook?

How many units are there?

Is there a vocabulary/grammar reference/list of irregular verbs/picture dictionary? Look at the picture on the cover. Can you recognize the children (we met all of them last year)? Where are they from? Are they all from England? Are they in Ukraine or in Eng­land? They are in England — in London — because we can see famous Tower Bridge that crosses the river Thames.

4. Aim Warming up Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Т: Today’s topic is «Countries and Nationalities». You’ll remember the names of some countries of Europe and learn about some English-speaking countries of the world. By the end of the lesson you’ll be able to name nationalities of people from different countries and answer the question «What nationality are you? ».

5. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Т: First of all let’s remember how the children greet each other in different countries. Пісня « Hello from all the children of the world!».

1. Повторення першого куплету пісні.

Hello! Bonjour! Buenos dias! Ciao! Alo! Доброго ранку!

Good afternoon! Guten Tag! Goedemiddag! Hello from all the children of the world!

2. Вивчення другого куплету пісні.

We live in different countries. We would like to sing and play.

We are all around the world. Hello! Bonjour! Buenos dias!

We speak in many different ways. Good afternoon! Guten Tag! Goedemiddag!

We talk and laugh together. Ciao! Alo! Доброго ранку!

Though we have never met Hello from all the children of the world!
