My, your, his, her, its, our, their
ossessive pronouns. Притяжательные местоимения.
In British English, they function as adjectives. The possessive pronouns are often used instead of articles with nouns denoting relations, parts of the body, articles of clothes and other personal belongings.
e.g. Mr.Brown addressed his partner.
I put up my arm.
Притяжательные прилагательные обозначают принадлежность и употребляются в качестве определения перед существительными. В устной речи притяжательные прилагательные, как правило, безударны.
