Предисловие
Настоящий практикум предназначен для студентов старших курсов дневной и заочной форм обучения по специальности «Судовождение», а также стажеров учебно-тренажерного центра и работников судоходной отрасли, совершенствующих знания английского языка.
Основной целевой установкой практикума является развитие навыков профессионального общения, усвоение характерных особенностей деловой переписки, формирование навыков составления деловой корреспонденции.
Материал подобран, систематизирован и расположен по степени нарастания языковых трудностей в последовательности изложения. Структура работы состоит из трех частей. Каждая часть из трех уроков. Каждый урок содержит тексты, взятые из оригинальных источников. Содержание практикума разделено тематически: извещения о готовности, заявки, распоряжения, претензии, урегулирование претензий. Третья часть посвящена работе брокеров, тогда как заключительная часть работе страховых компаний. В приложении приводятся общеупотребительные сокращения и клише, используемые в деловом письме.
