Note: -35# light diesel oil, HG-11/HC-8 engine oil should be used in severe cold region.
3.3.2 Coolant
Normally used coolant can be rain water, tap water or clear river water. Well water contains minerals that may cause furring in water container of diesel engine. It must be softened before using, otherwise bad effect or damage may be resulted. When using diesel engine in cold region or in winter, you should add antifreeze in the coolant to prevent the coolant from being frozen after engine stops.
Formula of common antifreeze is as follows:
3.3.2.1 Alcohol 43% Glycerin 15% water 42% (in terms of weight)
3.3.2.2 Glycol 50% water 50% (in terms of cubage)
3.3.2.3 Glycerin 66.7% water 33.3% (in terms of weight)
3.4 Inspection and maintenance before daily operation
3.4.1 Engine electronics and instruments
3.4.1.1 Check engine coolant level.
3.4.1.2 Check fuel level
3.4.1.3 Check oil level in engine oil pan.
3.4.1.4 Check the seal at each oil pipe, water pipe, air pipe and their accessories.
3.4.1.5 Check battery connections.
3.4.2 Chassis
3.4.2.1 Check hydraulic oil level.
3.4.2.2 Check seal of hydraulic pipes and accessories.
3.4.2.3 Make sure that the service brake and parking brake can work normally.
3.4.2.4 Make sure that the control levers can work properly and are in neutral position.
3.4.2.5 Make sure that the air pressure in tyres is in normal range.
3.4.3 Start engine
3.4.3.1 Make sure that all gauges can display correct reading.
3.4.3.2 Make sure that all lamps, indicators, horns, wipers and stop lamps can work normally. <0}
3.4.3.3 Operate the implement and check its condition.
3.4.3.4 Run the engine at low idle speed and make sure it runs normally without abnormal noise.
3.4.3.5 Try the machine in each gear.
3.5 Inspection and maintenance after daily work
3.5.1 Check fuel level.
3.5.2 Check oil level and cleanness in engine oil pan. Check the cause and solve the problem if oil level is too high and oil becomes diluted.
3.5.3 Check for any leakage at each oil pipe, water pipe, air pipe and accessory.
3.5.4 Make sure the fasteners and seals on transmission, torque converter, hydraulic pumps, steering gear and axles are in good condition. Check if there is overheat at those parts.
3.5.5 Make sure the bolts on rims and drive shaft are tightened, and each pin is mounted firmly.
3.5.6 Make sure the implement is in normal condition.
3.5.7 Make sure the tire is in good condition and its pressure is normal.
3.5.8 Drain out the coolant if the ambient temperature is below -5 ℃ and no antifreeze is added in the coolant.
3.5.9 Inject grease to each injection point of implement according to regulation.
3.5.10 Clean the outer surface of machine, remove the clay and sundries from the bucket.
