2002-2003 * Бути вчителем

Проект здійснювався учнями 11 класу в жовтні-грудні 2002 року, а робота розпочалася напередодні Дня вчителя. Після бесіди про вчительську професію, її переваги та недоліки учням було запропоновано побувати в ролі вчителя хоча б один раз в житті. Вчитель розповів, як проходить підготовка до уроку, що слід враховувати на самому уроці, які бувають типи уроків, як діяти в непередбачуваних ситуаціях, як оцінювати відповіді учнів, яким має бути вчитель. Наводилися приклади нестандартних ситуацій з власної практики, пропонувалося знайти вихід з них. Вчитель імітував короткі фрагменти уроку з помилками та просив учнів знайти їх. Після цього учні отримали завдання підготувати та провести урок в одному із середніх класів (5-8). За бажанням учні працювали в парі з іншим учнем. Складався план-конспект уроку, готувалися наочності. Наприкінці уроку учні класу, в якому він проводився, оцінювали “вчителя” за такими параметрами: мова вчителя, зовнішній вигляд, ставлення до учнів, наскільки було цікаво на уроці, зрозумілість пояснення, урок в цілому.

Наступного дня “вчителі” коротко розповідали про свій урок однокласникам, відповідали на питання, визначали успіхи та недоліки, писали звіт про проведений урок, який разом з результатами оцінювання та фото поміщався до папки проекту.

As you know we have been making a lot of projects during our studying. And one of them is ‘TO BE A TEACHER’. As we like all new things we decided to take part in it. So we conducted the lesson in grade 8B. The theme of it was ‘LOVE’. First we listened to music and after that pupils draw some pictures of their imagination of love and explained them. But they didn’t understand the task and most of them draw two hearts.Then students read a dialogue and some of them continued it. The ideas were very interesting. After that we played the game. There were 8 small poems. The pupils were divided into two groups and they read each poem and filled the gaps. At the end of the lesson students read a love story and asked each other questions.In general the lesson was OK. But we’d made some mistakes. First of all we organized so many games that pupils were too excited. Also we hadn’t given them marks. The students didn’t except us seriously.

In a word we are more or less satisfied with our lesson. We have realized our mistakes and are ready to continue this project.

We participated in one of our group projects that was called TO BE A TEACHER. We agreed to conduct a lesson in grade 8B. We were interested in the project because it was a chance to try ourselves as teachers. The topic of our lesson was “My favorite writer”. Each student told us about his or her favorite writer, and it was very interesting for us to listen to their stories. They were so active, especially S.Kravchuk and I.Los’. At the beginning of the lesson we told them about our favorite writer Ian Flaming, then we read and translated some texts, asked and answered the questions to them. At the end of the lesson we organized a competition. The task was to name the writers. We divided the class into two teams. They were called Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. The last one won! After the lesson we gave the students marks and they evaluated our work at their lesson.
