One more new subject in our timetable is Labour Training. We have two lessons of Labour Training on Mondays. Our class in divided into two groups, because the girls and the boys study separately. The girls teacher’s name is Natalia Stanislavivna and the boys’ – Yuriy Oleksandrovych. At the Labour Training lessons the girls knit different things. Besides they sew. At the beginning of the year they sewed pillowcases. One thing the girls of our group like to do most of all is to embroider. They embroider national Ukrainian patterns. Then they put them in frames and get beautiful pictures. The boys of our class do completely different work at the Labour Training lessons. They saw and work with wood. They make cuisine utensils. Their teacher is very skillful and can teach the boys many useful things. The boys and the girls have exercise books to write down the theoretical material and rule how to do practical tasks correctly. Almost all pupils of our class get good marks at the Labour Training lessons.

Hi! My name is Yulia. I’ll share with you the information about our English lessons. I began to learn this subject in the first form. This year I have five English lessons a week. My teacher’s name is Maryna Viktorivna. At the lessons we learn a lot of new words, word-combinations and expressions. We write them down into our vocabularies. We read interesting texts and retell them. We learn to ask and answer the questions in English. I always feel excited when we listen to the tape- recorder. To tell you the truth I don’t like making up dialogues but I’m really good at translating sentences from Ukrainian into English. Sometimes we learn English poems by heart. At the English lessons we speak much. We discuss different topics. We speak about our working and rest days, our plans for holidays and other things. We learn to write projects. I think it is very interesting and exciting. I try to do my best to know this foreign language well because English is the most important language in the world. Millions of people learn it.

Hello! I’m Sasha. I’m sure that people can’t live without knowing their history. I think this school subject is extremely important and we must learn it properly. We didn’t have this lesson in our timetable last year. We began to learn it in the fifth form. Our teacher’s name is Oksana Leonidivna.

We have one History lesson a week. Our lessons are always very interesting because we get much useful information about the past. I am fond of History and try to read some additional information on the topics we learn. At the lessons we discuss the material we had for our homework and answer our teacher’s questions. Then we listen to the teacher. She tells us about the events of the remote past that took place in Ukraine. It is so interesting and exciting to know much about the history of my native country. At the lessons we read and retell paragraphs from our textbooks. Sometimes we write tests. They are not difficult for me because I learn History regularly not by fits and starts. History is my favourite subject but sometimes I have problems with dates. It is not easy to know them all.

I enjoy our History lessons. I attend them with pleasure.
