My Family
I am Andrey Zhilin. I am sixteen years old. I want to tell you a few words about my family. My family is not large. I have got a mother, a father, a sister and a grandmother. There are four of us in the family.
My mother is a teacher of biology. She works at school. She likes her profession. She is a good-looking woman with brown hair and grey eyes. She is forty-four but she looks much younger. She is very kind and sociable.
My father is a programmer. He is forty-six. He is tall, stout, with grey hair and green eyes. He can be strict, but just. He can do a lot of things at home. He is very fond of his car and he is a good driver.
My parents have been married for 18 years. They have much in common, but they have different views on music, books, and films. For example, my father likes horror films and my mother likes soap operas. My father is fond of tennis. My mother doesn’t go in for sports. My parents are hard working people. My mother keeps house and takes care of our family. She is very good at cooking. My grandmother is a pensioner. She lives with us and helps to run the house. She is fond of knitting.
My sister is twelve. She is a pupil of the 6 th form. She is a slim girl with fair hair. She is good at foreign a languages, that’s why she wants to be an interpreter. She is very fond of swimming and dancing.
I am the first-year student of the medical college. I want to become a doctor and to help people. I love my family. All of us are quite different, but united. We try to help and understand one another.
