A "hobby" is a special activity that you do in your free time. Hobby includes a variety of activities from gardening to traveling, from chess to volleyball. Both grown-ups and children are fond of playing different computer games. This hobby is becoming more and more popular.

Making things include drawing, painting, handicrafts. Many people collect something – coins, stamps, compact discs, toys, books. Rich

people often collect paintings, rare things and other art objects. Some people have animals as hobbies. They keep rabbits, or fishes. They train dogs to do tricks, or keep pigeons to carry messages. Some are crazy about plants. Others are mad about cars or motorbikes. They spend their Saturdays and Sundays in garage. Hobbies differ like tastes.

As for me, I like to listen to music and to dance. Three months ago I bought a player and decided to collect compact discs. I like different music. I collect discs of my favorite groups and singers. TEXT II. MY HOME

I would like to tell you about my home. To begin with, I live in Moscow. It is my hometown. It‘s a very big and beautiful city. Our family lives in a new apartment. We moved into our apartment seven years ago. It is a three-bedroom apartment on the ninth floor of the nine-stored building. It consists of a living-room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. Our apartment has all modern conveniences: central heating, running cold and hot water, electricity, telephone and Wi-Fi, gas and central air-condition. Besides, there are a lift and a dumpster outside.

The layout is very good. All rooms are tastefully decorated. The rooms are light, though not very large. The windows face the park and the view is really wonderful. Our living-room is about 25 square meters. It is the largest room in our apartment. In the living-room there are

two comfortable armchairs, a sofa, a coffee-table, a very soft carpet on the floor and TV-set.

I'm lucky to have a single room. It is smaller than a living-room. There is a writing-table with the computer, a bookcase and a sofa. To the left of the door there's a wardrobe where I keep my clothes on coathangers and on the right there is a book-shelf. I have two posters with my favorite singers on the wall above the sofa. There are also a lot of photos of my family.

My parents‘ bedroom is the smallest room in our flat, but it is very cosy. There is a double bed with a bedside table, the cream curtains, beautiful wallpaper and a wooden wardrobe in this room. There are also some beautiful houseplants on the windowsill.

The most popular and favorite place with all of us is the kitchen. We spend much time there. In the kitchen there are some stools, a table, a cupboard, a set of built-in closets, a sink with water taps, a fridge and a gas cooker. Of course, we usually have our meals there.

We like our apartment very much. It is very important that our house is close to the bus station and we can easily get to any place we need.
