Manual is devoted to the history of foreign literature XVII – XVIII centuries. Material placed in two modules «History of Foreign Literature XVII» аnd «History of Foreign Literature XVIII». Placed in accordance with the principle of chronology. Students should form an integral submitted about the era, the laws of the literary process of displaying common ideological and thematic and genre-style trends in individual creative search of important representatives of modern literature. Guide includes the guidelines, a summary of the lecture course, plans workshops, exercises for independent work, theme papers, tests for self-test, test questions. Practical tasks such topics as «French classic tragedy. Creativity P. Corneille and Jean Racine», «Comedy J.B. Moliere», «The French Enlightenment. Works of Voltaire and Diderot», «English education.
