the standpoint of cognitive phonology we can also understand the sound system of the language as a key to its semantics: because in the linguistic consciousness of the individual ideal sound and meaning are in interrelationships – the meaning determines the sound image and sound image defines the meaning, any significant change of sound body of the language sign entails a change in semantics.
Keywords / phrases: Cognitive phonology, phonetic descriptions, perception, consciousness, Neurocognitive.
Nowadays studying any aspect of speech is impossible without referring to cognitive mechanisms of perception, storage, processing and transmission of linguistic images in the process of speech perception and production. This kind of methodology is basically anthropocentric, because it is based on investigating the questions of the relationship between language and human consciousness, language and higher cognitive operations, the role of language in the process of learning about the world, etc.
The first cognitive research of mechanisms of generation and perception of speech as a psychophysiological process was carried out in the middle of the last century, as a part of psycholinguistics, which later in the 70-ies of the twentieth century resulted in a separate scientific field of cognitive psycholinguistics. The analysis of Russian works in phonetics and phonology shows that researchers either do not use the terminology of cognitive linguistics, or use just phrases like cognitive methodology or cognitive aspects of phonology.
Nevertheless, Russian linguists admit the fact that the cognitive studies are in need to be further developing. A.A. Abduazizov, citing D. Crystal, concludes that "... the categorization of phenomena in human consciousness as stereotypes, frame structures that are cognitive units formed by clichés, requires to distinguish a special part of cognitive linguistics, which we call "cognitive phonology" [1, p.36]. According to the author, the objective of cognitive phonology is to analyze ways of differentiating the meanings of words, morphemes and sentences in the text, which, after complex processing in memory in the human brain, consciously correlate with their meanings [ibid]. The author of a new generation textbook on phonetics T.I. Shevchenko, emphasizing the need to increase knowledgeintensive content training course on Theoretical Phonetics of English, notes the importance of the inclusion along with the anthropocentric approach "[...] the modern cognitive aspect of phonology" [7, p.6].
Russian phoneticians referred to the cognitive aspects of language before, for example, in the detection of psycholinguistic, conceptual, functional and sociolinguistic communicative

features of markedness, as well as the description of the foundations of psycho-cognitive interference phenomena, arising from the interaction of the native and the target language in a bilingual speech and consciousness [4; 5]. Nevertheless, we can hardly talk about the active use of new methods of cognitive analysis and use of terms in phonetics and phonology.
We‘d like to note that works of foreign authors in the field of cognitive phonology are mainly associated with the tasks of computer simulation of mental calculations. This practical orientation is fundamental to cognitive linguistics abroad in general, while the Russian linguists are more involved in examining the semantic side as an essential component of language representation inherent to the Russian linguistic tradition.
Despite the relatively large amount of foreign cognitive phonological research J. Taylor notes that in modern cognitive linguistics we still see an obvious bias towards the study of conceptual structures, while phonology is left without proper attention, and sometimes even recognized as the scope that is beyond the subject of cognitive linguistics[9, p. 195; 8]. According to the authors of the monograph Cognitive Phonology, phonology of the language as well as the meaning of the word needs to be looked upon at the cognitive angle because pronunciation characteristics of sounds get mental representation [3].
Indeed, the cognitive nature of a language as a means of phonological representation of the human mind is beyond any doubt: the listener is able to identify the perceived phonetic complex as a word of some language, only on the basis of previous experience, which then formed the acoustic image of this word in his/her mind. The uniqueness of the speech system is in conscious using real audio information that can be represented as a product of consciousness, reproduced in response to external stimuli "at the neurophysiological structures level" [6, p.9]. Neurocognitive ability to differentiate multidimensional sound contrasts (height, volume, duration, and tonal characteristics) has been used by human-beings for general orientation since ancient times, so a special psychoacoustic module is formed in the human brain. It seems that every language is characterized by the construction of a unique phonetic-phonological module used to transmit messages between its informants. A person can act in different communicative situations as a speaker or as a listener. The formation of phonetic-phonological structures can be interpreted as an active cognitive psychophysiological process, based on the principles of temporary connections.
Summarizing the description of the existing classical interpretations and arguments about the nature of neurocognitive and cognitive-semiotic nature of sound it seems logical to conclude that it is not efficient to use a non-cognitive approach in phonology studies. From this position, it becomes obvious that, despite the differences in terminology, the Russian

classical phonetics and phonology (L.V. Scherba, V.A. Artyomov, L.R. Zinder, L.V. Bondarko, L.A. Verbitskaya, N.D. Svetozarova, L.V. Zlatoustova, R.K. Potapova, L.P. Blokhina and many others), recognize the efficiency of psycholinguistic approaches to the phonological studies, and came to a deep theoretical understanding of the role of sound aspect of language as an element of semiotic system that underlies the overall functioning of the human mind. So, in our view, the principles of cognitive and anthropological approaches in phonetics and phonology were presented, without referring to modern terms of cognitive linguistics, in the work by L.V. Bondarko "Phonetic description of language and phonological description of speech" [2]. According to the author, the units of the sound level of the language provide the processing of information by a person on the basis of the complex rules from a continuous sound sequence, formed as a result of articulatory movements and acoustic effects produced, to a sequence of meaningful units. "It is at the level of the sound system, where the transition from the material, physical characteristics of the used signs to their functional, ideal in some way, characteristicstakes place. And that person, the informant of this particular language, is that mysterious retort in which "material tin" is melted into "functional gold»» [ibid, p.9].
In fact, all of the above-mentioned authors assume that there existparticular rules of intercode transitions and cognitive operations that are performed continuously in the process of human speech (sound) communication, and therefore these rules should be subject to the study of cognitive phonology. On the other hand, since the acoustic language tools provide the formation and functioning of language as activity-structures, their study should go in parallel with general cognitive linguistics and psycholinguistics.
Thus, it can be stated that the problems of the formation and functioning of the sound means as a base element of language systems in the human consciousness, on the one hand, and as the basis of a sound communication between members of the same linguistic community, on the other, can be treated as central not only to phonetics and phonology but also for such areas of scientific knowledge as psycholinguistics, perceptual linguistics, neurolinguistics, psychoacoustics, and many others. Cognitive research in phonology should take into account the achievements of the related sciences in the study of sound means of language, which requires following the principle of interdisciplinarity. It is also important to understand the origins of cognitive differences in phonological approaches in domestic and foreign linguistics: in Russian linguistics this direction was formed in line with the psychological, philosophical, and semiotic approaches, while abroad cognitive phonology initially had an applied nature, because, after the generative phonology, it was designed to

solve the formalization problem of computer modeling of mental computational operations. Furthermore, the apparent fragmentation of research carried out in the cognitive phonological key requires improvement and development of terminological principles applicable for the description of the phenomenon.
Nevertheless, the productivity of cognitive research in phonology is in no doubt, as it allows to overcome the limitations imposed by the requirements of the structural approach to the study of the language, and to reach the level of intercode sound transition modeling in the process of communication between people. From the standpoint of cognitive phonology we can also understand the sound system of the language as a key to its semantics: because in the linguistic consciousness of the individual ideal sound and meaning are in interrelationships the meaning determines the sound image and sound image defines the meaning, any significant change of sound body of the language sign entails a change in semantics. Cognitive approach is effective in modeling ways to organize, store and retrieve information in the language of verbal communication. Based on the idea that conscious human use of real sound information to enhance linguistic meanings is based on a common neurocognitive ability to discriminate acoustic contrasts, we can assume that the exchange of the information messages in a particular language is possible only in case the person has the phoneticphonological submodule of this language developed in his/her mind. The formed phoneticphonological language submodule enables automated use of human knowledge about the articulatory-acoustic and phonological contrasts at different levels (individual phonemes, syllables, words, accent and rhythmic patterns, prosodic and intonation patterns), as well as the rules of intra-and inter-level correlation in the construction and perception (interpretation) of verbal communication. In conclusion, we have to emphasize that recognition by linguists of the fact that processing phonetic and phonological information is performed through mental operations and cognitive computing, even more strongly dictates the need for further cognitive research in phonetics and phonology of human speech activity.

Summary:
Project method as a pedagogical technology is a set of research, search and problem
methods. Project methodology is characterized by high cоmmunicativeness.
Keywords / phrases: project method, educational technology, research, presentation,
independent activity, sociocultural aspect.
Если говорить о методе проектов как о педагогической технологии, то эта технология предполагает совокупность исследовательских, поисковых, проблемных методов, творческих по самой своей сути [1, c.4].
Е.С. Полат объясняет проект как метода и как педагогической технологии: «В основе метода проектов лежит развитие познавательных навыков учащихся, умений самостоятельно конструировать свои знания, умений ориентироваться в информационном пространстве, развитие критического мышления».
Е.С. Полат выделяет основные требования к использованию метода проектов:
Methodology
97
1) наличие значимой в исследовательском, творческом плане проблемы/задачи, требующей интегрированного знания, исследовательского поиска для ее решения (например, исследование истории возникновения различных праздников в англоговорящих странах: St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Halloween, Christmas, Mother's Day и т. д.; организация путешествий в разные страны; проблемы семьи; проблема свободного времени у молодежи; проблема обустройства дома; проблема отношений между поколениями; проблема организации спортивных мероприятий и т. п.);
2) практическая, теоретическая значимость предполагаемых результатов (например, доклад в соответствующие службы о демографическом состоянии данного региона, факторах, влияющих на это состояние, тенденциях, которые прослеживаются в развитии данной проблемы; совместный выпуск газеты, альманаха с репортажами с места событий; программа туристического маршрута; план обустройства дома, парка, участка; планировка и обустройство квартиры и т. д.);
Methodology
98
3) самостоятельная (индивидуальная, парная, групповая) деятельность учащихся на уроке или во внеурочное время;
4) структурирование содержательной части проекта (с указанием поэтапных результатов и распределением ролей);
