10. Sasha is in the USA. He wants to make a “collect” call. He asked his friend Mark how to make a “collect” call. Say what Mark told Sasha.
1. First call the international operator and say that you want to make a “collect” call.
2. The operator will then ask you for the name and tele phone number of the people you are calling, your own number and name.
3. Next the operator will ask you to replace the receiver and wait while he finds out if the other people will accept your call.
4. The operator will then call you back and say to you “Your call to Sweden (for example). Go ahead, caller”.
5. If you only want to speak to one particular person, ask the operator for a persontoperson call. Then if that person is out, you don’t have to pay for the call.
6. By the way, in Britain it is called the “transferred charge” call.

13. Change the following dialogue into Indirect Speech.
Frank: I beg your pardon, how do I go about sending
this box to Moscow? Clerk: It should be send by bookpost. Frank: Shall I wrap it? Clerk: Yes, of course. Here is some wrapping paper.
