2. Put the gorbusha in a bowl and flake it with a fork.
3. Grate the cheese and add it to the gorbusha.

5. Boil the rice in plenty of water and salt it.
6. Cut the onion and put it into the bowl.
7. Mix the mayonnaise with all the ingredients.
14. Mary cooked stewed meat with potatoes. Read the
following recipe and tell what she did and what in$
gredients she used.

Recipe
1. Wash vegetables thoroughly.
2. Peel potatoes, carrots and onions.
3. Wash the meat and divide it into pieces.
4. Cut potatoes into quarters.
5. Cut carrots as you cut a lemon.
6. Put potatoes and carrots into the saucepan and pour
in water just to cover them.
7. Cut, roast onion and put it into the saucepan.
8. Let everything simmer for two hours.
15. Mary was going to the restaurant. Her mother gave
Mary some advice. Say what Mary’s mother told her
daughter.
Example:
Don’t lick your spoon.

1. Never stretch over the table for something you want,
ask your neighbour to pass it.
2. Take a slice of bread from the breadplate by hand,
don’t harpoon your bread with a fork.
3. Don’t use a knife for fish, cutlets or omelettes.
4. Don’t use a spoon for what can be eaten with a fork.
5. Cut your meat into small pieces that can be chewed
with ease. Cut off one piece at a time.
6. Try to make as little noise as possible when eating.
7. Don’t put your elbows on the table.

Davy answered that he had. Then he added that the din
ner had been very tasty.
Mother asked him what he had had.
Davy answered that he had had cabbage soup and cutlets
with mashed potatoes.
Then he added that he had eaten everything.
Mother asked Davy if she would cook roastbeef for supper.
Davy agreed. Then he said that roastbeef was his favourite
dish.
Mother wanted to know if he preferred to have roastbeef
with spaghetti or potatoes.
Davy answered that he wanted to have roastbeef with po

In the Street
Ben greeted Fred. Then he asked how it went.
