Помимо собственно создания игры студентами-разработчиками были срежиссированы, сняты и смонтированы два видеоролика – проморолик и обзорный видеоотчет, куда вошли отзывы студентов и преподавателей. Таким образом, студенты усовершенствовали и продемонстрировали навыки дизайна, проектирования, реализации проекта обучающей игры, съемки и создания видео, а также продвижения и популяризации продукта среди потенциальных потребителей.

Отзывы студентов, участвующих в создании проекта, отзывы тех, кто был приглашен для апробации игры, ее успешное внедрение в учебный процесс в рамках дисциплины «Иностранный язык» и высокие оценки преподавателей по профильным предметам позволяют сделать вывод, что подобная форма работы вызывает большой интерес у студентов и обладает значительным образовательным и развивающим потенциалом.

Культурная рефлексия на основе прочтения текста “Gateway to the Global village”

–Before reading the text I didn’t know that there is a part of London where Indian women wear their typical clothes. Also, I didn’t know about the Portuguese carnival which is held each February. The next thing I learned is that there is a really big Polish community. It was really interesting to learn that they have their daily Polish-language newspaper, Dziennik Polski. And the last surprising fact is that there are some places where people speak Arabic.

–Reading the text, I have found out that Indian culture is well represented in London. They have Indian foodstalls and videoshops everywhere. I was surprised that many Indian girls stroll around wearing their national costumes. And the fact that in McDonald’s the piped music is «refreshingly Indian» surprised me most of all. It remains to change the weather and they will feel at home.

–The most striking elements of a different culture was that the Portuguese is a close-knit community, who are mad about football and folk-dancing. A new piece of information is that the Indian community is the second largest in London. Many Japanese arrive on five-year contracts in the banking and technology sectors and then return home in a while. It isn’t as permanent as other communities. For myself I have learned how multicultural London is, how many stories it keeps. I can’t single out one nation only that interested me most notably but the ones described above were the most interesting of all.

–The text titled “Gateway to the Global Village” tells about people of various cultures living in London. The reasons for resettlement are different for each nation but they all were able to perfectly settle down in a new place and keep up their own vibrant traditions. The most striking elements of a different culture was the Indian community, which is the second largest in London. The new information is that the first Indians arrived as early as 1957 and numbers increased when India became independent in 1947. “Little Indias” exist around London but the most fascinating is Southall in West London. I was surprised to read that so many people from bright India live in a grey city like London.

–From this text I have learned that the Portuguese hold their national festival in London and so do Caribbean immigrants. Also, I had never heard of Finchley and Hendon, which are the principal centers for Japanese people.

Portuguese are mad about folk-dancing and that they have their own carnival every February. The Nothing Hill Carnival held by Caribbean people is a new element for me too. I didn’t think that Polish-language newspaper exists in London. Likewise, I didn’t even have in mind that Lebanese culture exists.

–Earlier I’ve heard that big European cities have separate districts for people from different cultures like Chinese district or Italian district. However, the new information for me was that there is the Indian community in London. This fact surprised me most because I hadn’t imagined that this culture could make a vibrant community in such a city as London.

–I like the idea of having a little piece of India in Europe, where everybody can try tradition food and buy Indian things from shops. Also, this place is full Indian reality: women wearing sari, streets scented with the odour of wonderful spices and herbs and Indian piped music going off everywhere.

–Before this text I hadn’t known anything about the greatest Caribbean celebration – the Notting Hill carnival, which takes place every August. Also, I didn’t know that there are a lot of Japanese people in London. However, the Japanese community isn’t as permanent as others. I had never heard that the Portuguese community in London is close-knit and holds the national carnival every February. There are also a lot of Indians all over London. Food stalls selling Indian food and videoshops with Indian films are everywhere.

–The new information is that Indians arrived in London four times. The Indian community is the second largest in London, which is a surprising fact for me. Besides, I’ve never heard that McDonald’s restaurants in ’Little Indians’ blast out Indian music. That’s a strong and close-knit community and people in London are lucky to have India at their doorstep.

–In the text such nationalities as Indian, Portuguese, Caribbean,

Japanese, Polish and Lebanese are represented. The most striking for me is elements of Japanese culture. I didn’t know about their national affection for golf, which is a surprising detail. The fact that most socializing takes place at home surprised me most of all because in Japanese comics (mangas) characters often go to different parks, cafes and have a variety of entertainment. The information about their five-year business contracts also sounds unusual. It involves leaving home for such a long time. So, I can say that Japanese culture is very interesting and uncommon for me. Thanks to the text, I learned new things about their culture and it seems great to learn something like that.

– I have never heard that the first Lebanese who came to London were almost all businesspeople. The new information for me is that many Japanese arrive on five-year contracts in the banking and technology sectors and then return home afterwards. In this text I found a lot of new information and surprising facts for me. For example, now I know about the Portuguese that they like folk-dancing and hold their own carnival every February. more than anyone else I was struck by the culture and traditions of the Portuguese. I have heard a lot about the culture and traditions of Indians before, so in this part of the text the information isn’t new for me.

– Before reading the text I did not know that the Indian community has a large size but as it turned out the Indian community is the second largest in London. Although I learned about the greatest Caribbean celebration Notting Hill Carnival. While reading the text I learned about the existence of the Lebanese community in London. And to my surprise it is getting stronger and bigger.

– First of all, I would like to say that I didn’t know that there are so many large communities in London represented by different countries. Also, the fact that the Indian community is the second largest in London surprised me. I have learnt that the best place to buy food in London is Brixton Market that is located near the underground station. Also, I’ve never heard of the fact that Japanese people pay so much attention to golf. The most striking elements of a different culture was the fact that a lot of people in London speak Arabic nowadays and that the Polish community try to keep their traditions alive in London.

–I’ve never heard of the Portuguese community in London. What surprised me most about that community was the fact that the majority of them didn’t come from the mainland of Portugal. The new information is that the Caribbean community is so large. I’ve learnt that they have settled all around London with the hub of the community in Brixton. It was exciting to get to know something about the Polish community. The most striking element of their culture was the fact that they have the daily Polish-language newspaper, even though their community isn’t nearly as big and distinct as other ethnical communities in London.

–Britain’s capital is a treasure trove of foreign culture. People from all over the world live in London and the result is the thrilling multiculturalism. I’ve never heard of the Notting Hill Carnival. This greatest Caribbean celebration is now Europe’s largest street party, which surprises me most. The noise, the bright colors and the rhythmic sounds seem very interesting and entertaining. I’ve never thought that the Caribbean immigration may make the Notting Hill Carnival. The new information for me is that Finchley and Hendon in North London are the principal centers for Japanese people, who arrive on five-year contracts and them return home.

Рефлексия на тему «Родной город»

–The center of my city is peaceful. There are many small streets with goodlooking houses in old quarters. Life in residential areas is slow and measured, as if time passes more slowly here than in large cities. Parks in my town are big but unattractive because people leave a lot of garbage behind.

–The center of my city is very busting. There are a lot of shabby old buildings that blend well with up-to-date constructions. The residential areas are quite diverse, there are many well looked-after flower beds near apartment blocks. But at night, noisy companies walk under the windows and deafening car alarms go off. There are many shops in the city, especially many chain stores, full of hectic people rushing somewhere. Some streets outside the city center are polluted, but parks and yards are fairly well looked-after, although not stunning.

–The center of my town is welcoming but the buildings are unattractive because of billboards. The air in the town is a bit polluted due to the town location. The old quarter seems ugly to me because it is represented by shabby houses. The residential areas are up-to-date and parks and gardens are well looked-after and peaceful. Their appearance has improved recently. Markets in the town are bustling because of big crowds of people.

–The center of my city is well looked-after and is full of old historic buildings. There are a lot of shops with different sorts of clothes and other things. In this place along the main pedestrian area there are many little cafes, which I find welcoming. Sadly, on the outskirts of Saratov streets are dirtier and buildings are shabbier. Despite the fact my city is counted a well place for living. It has a variety of universities. So a large quantity of young people come to here for studying and working.

–The centre of my city is full of shabby old houses, and many of them are architectural monuments. More and more up-to-date buildings appear among historic houses in the old quarter. The central market consists of bustling and hectic trade rows in a stunning building. In residential areas there are many little streets and the people walking along them seem outgoing and friendly. The city park is a well looked-after place with quaint alleys and unspoiled nature.

–The center of my city is getting more looked-after. It has both up-to- date and shabby buildings. Also, there are markets which are always bustling. Most of the residential areas are unattractive. The parks and gardens here have an unhurried atmosphere and some of them have stunning views.

–The centre of Saratov is beautiful enough. There are both historic and up-to-date buildings and bustling streets. The old quarters are shabby in my

opinion. The residential areas look peaceful and welcoming. There are a lot of markets in the city. Parks and gardens are mostly pretty although polluted and ugly in some places.

–Saratov was founded in 1590. There are a lot of beautiful constructions. For example, the stunning bridge illuminated by lights at night. The circus is closed right now. Kirov avenue is hectic. Crowds of people walking to and fro here every day. People can chill out in parks. There are three big parks in the center. Each of them has something to see. Despite the beauty of some buildings there are a lot of ugly and unattractive houses. Despite all its problems my city is worth visiting.

“Good Despite Problems”

My city may not be the most beautiful in the world but it is exciting! Let me tell you why.

Saratov is a cultural center. One can visit the Radischev Museum, Theatre Square and historic buildings such as Saratov conservatory. Furthermore, it is the center for opera and drama. I seldom visit them because the tickets to performances are too expensive.

Like many other industrial cities Saratov has traffic problems. There are traffic jams every morning and evening which significantly eats your free time. The center doesn’t have enough parking space. People have to park their cars along the roads, which makes them and causes traffic jams. Traffic problems teach you to know the value of time.

The people who live here are much more friendly than elsewhere. It makes the place especially attractive.

There are many problems in Saratov, which I have mixed feelings about. It may not be the most beautiful place in the world but definitely a good place for living.

“Cabinet of Curiosities”

The very first museum in Saint Petersburg was opened in 1724. It was called Kunstkamera and it is situated in front of the Winter Palace.

Peter I created this museum from his collection of Cutlandish pieces.

You can see national clothes and different tools there. But the hall with exhibits of freaks attracts the eye most of all. There are humans with various body defects. This room looks very scary. Also, you can buy some souvenirs in Kunstkamera.

But there was one eye-catching thing that disappointed me. The museum is very popular but the building is in very bad condition. Why isn’t it restored?

There are a lot of sights in Saint Petersburg, but Kunstkamera is a must-see.

“A Festival to Go and See”

Festivals are great places where you can go not only to relax and have fun, but also meet like-minded people and idols who you have always dreamed to meet. Many festivals are held in Russia including music festivals, where both world stars and beginner performers show their talents, national

ones, where people are happy to demonstrate their culture, and scientific, where you can often “touch” science.

Today I would like to talk about the festival that I dream to attend. The 404 festival is an event where the brightest heads of the IT community from all over Russia get together every year, which takes place in Samara. It was supposed to be held this year but due to the epidemiological situation was canceled. There are many different thematic sections at the festival including: Front-end and back-end, Mobile applications, Design, UX, Product management, PR and Marketing, Management, business, philosophy, Future technologies, which can be called relevant areas of development in the modern world.

At the festival, experts in their field share their reports without any “water” and advertising. The festival managed to become a laureate of the Runet Prize which is a national award of the Russian Federation, in Science and Education nomination and received an award from the SMR.Sobaka.ru magazine in Team nomination, and these are not the only achievements of the festival.

The organizer of the event is Mercury, a small Aichi company with an office in Saratov and 40 million users worldwide. The company has been developing mobile and web applications since 1999. The company’s offices can be found in cities around the world with its sales offices located in New York, Miami and Atlanta, and in development centers in Samara, Togliatti and Saratov, where 250 “happy employees work”, as the Mercury themselves say about themselves.

I hope you were interested in my article about the festival which I want to attend and see with my own eyes. If this festival is not for you, then, fortunately, the number of festivals is big enough to choose the one that suits your liking. Someone is closer to dances and songs. Others prefer developments in IT sphere.

“The Best Places in my City”

Do you want to know the best places to go in my city? Let me tell you. Saratov is not a very big city. Its central part, which is represented by Kirov Avenue and the embankment, can be explored on foot in a few hours. There are also several parks in the city, each of which is remarkable in its own way. Victory Park is the largest park in the town, which displays military equipment. Also, there is the Museum of Military Glory. The City Park with its amusement rides takes up a smaller area. There are two more parks but they are not big in size. Their main attracion is fountains. Two long pedestrian streets are beautifully illuminated at night. There are also several theaters in the town, which specialize in performances of a certain genre, and quite many

cinemas.

If you just walk along the streets for no particular purpose, you can find combinations of old and new houses that do not represent any special architectural value but look unusual.

“The Place where I Live”

My city has many different places to visit. The center is full of old historical buildings, the grandeur and beauty of which once admired nonresidents.

There are many places for entertainment and cultural life. Theaters, cinemas and cafes are always open for their visitors. You can also walk along Kirov Avenue, which is considered one of the longest pedestrian zones in Europe.

Saratov is also considered a student city with many colleges and universities. Most of them are located mainly in the city center, which is why students often use public transport.

I think that Saratov is a quiet place where you can calmly study and live.

“Ukek Festival”

One day in the life of a medieval city"has been held in the village of Uvek in Saratov since 2012. It is a historical reconstruction of life of the Golden Horde city.

Ukek is a large-scale open-air event where guests immerse themselves in the life of the city with its artisans, merchants, healers, emir, warriors. The festival takes place on three sites: scenic, historical and archaeological. Moving from place to place you can see excavations, performances of folk groups, try treats, take part in workshops for games and crafts. Archaeological workshops are also held, where you can learn how to conduct excavations.

In 2014 the festival won the first prize at All-Russia Tourism Fair in Moscow. Ukek festival is one of the brands of Saratov region, which is visited by thousands of people every year. The festival is always a good family event, which is funny and enlightening. It is a wonderful way to learn about history of native land.

“Appreciate Beauty”

If you like climbing hills, walking in woods or want to enjoy breathtaking views, you’ll definitely love my city!

There are many beautiful parks that have a cozy and quiet atmosphere and a lot of different trees and bushes which turn yellow and red in the fall. There’s also a river called the Volga, which captivates you with its grandeur. The city is surrounded by hills, which are definitely worth climbing. The
