Grammar Focus
V-ed формы и их перевод на русский язык:
1. V-ed – глагол в Past Simple. Переводим личной формой глагола в прошедшем времени.
Engineers tested a new device – Инженеры испытали новый прибор (глагол в личной форме в Past Simple).
The new line connected two railway stations – Новая железная дорога соединила две станции (глагол в личной форме в Past Simple).
2. have/has/had +Ved – глагол в Present или Past Perfect. Переводим личной формой глагола в Present или Past Perfect.
European railways have developed a new generation communication network – Европейские железные дороги разработали сеть связи нового поколения (глагол в личной форме в Present Perfect).
3. be + V-ed – форма глагола в пассивном залоге. Переводим личной формой глагола в пассивном залоге и соответствующем времени.
A lot of problems are solved by students at their practical classes – Множество задач решается студентами на практических занятиях.

4. V-ed – отглагольное прилагательное, образованное от причастия прошедшего времени (что сделанный?). Позиция – чаще перед существительным или (реже) непосредственно после существительного, которое оно определяет.
The solved problem simplified the objective –Решенная проблема упростила задачу (прилагательное).
The data collected helped to study new aspects of the problem – Собранные данные помогли в изучении новых аспектов проблемы (прилагательное).
5. V-ed – причастие прошедшего времени. Идет после определяемого слова и переводится причастным оборотом (что сделанный?) или придаточным предложением с союзами который/которая и т.п.
The experiment, carried out by the group of our scientists yesterday, was very important – эксперимент, проведенный вчера группой наших ученых, был очень важен (причастный оборот).
There are a few satellites launched last year – есть несколько спутников, запущенных в прошлом году (причастный оборот)/которые были запущены в прошлом году (придаточное предложение с союзом который).
Иногда перед формами причастия прошедшего времени V-ed могут использоваться слова when, if, while и др., образуя придаточные предложения. Тогда на русский язык мы их переводим придаточным предложением с соответствующими союзами: когда/после того, как/если и др
When finished the experiment showed the desirable results – когда эксперимент закончился, он показал желаемые результаты (придаточное предложение с союзом когда).
When tested the equipment was put into operation. – После того, как оборудование было испытано, его запустили в эксплуатацию (придаточное предложение с союзом после того, как).
