3.4 Тренировочные упражнения

Упражнение 1. Вставьте, где необходимо предлоги to, at, in или into. Там, где предлог не требуется, ставьте прочерк (-)

1. Three people were taken hospital after the accident.

2. I met Caroline on my way home.

3. We left our luggage the station and went to find something to

eat.

4. I must go the bank today to change some money.

Упражнение 2. Запишите предложения, исходя из предложенной ситуации и используя сочетания got into, got out of, got on, got off

Образец: You were walking home. A friend passed you in her car. She saw you, stopped and offered you a lift. She opened the door. What did you do? -1 got into the car.

1. You were waiting for the bus. At last your bus came. The doors opened. What did you do then?

2. You drove home in your car. You arrived at your house and parked the car. What did you do then?

3. You were travelling by train to Manchester. When the train got to Manchester, what did you do?

4. You needed a taxi. After a few minutes a taxi stopped for you. You opened the door. What did you do then?

5. You were travelling by air. At the end of your flight the plane landed at the airport and stopped. The doors were opened, you took your bag and stood up. What did you do then?

6. You went out of the shop. The car stood near it. You came up to the car. What did you do then?

Упражнение 3: Вставьте один из предлогов: by, in, on, with.

1. Who is that man standing the window?

2. I managed to put the fire out a fire extinguisher.

3. Shall we get a taxi or shall we go foot?

4. What's that music? I know it's Beethoven but I can't remember

what it's called.

Упражнение 4: Вставьте необходимые предлоги: for, of, in, to, with, between.

Упражнение 7. Вставьте необходимые предлоги по смыслу: about, for, of, after, from, on, with, into.

1. I am not going out yet. I am waiting the rain to stop.

3. That's a good idea. Why didn't I think that?

4. You look serious. What are you thinking ?

5. What time will you arrive? I don't know it depends the traffic?
