Употребление Present Simple Tense
1. Для выражения действия обычного, постоянного, свойственного лицу (или предмету), выраженному подлежащим, т.е. действия, происходящего вообще, а не в момент речи:
e.g. He speaks English well.
2. Для выражения действия, совершающегося в момент речи (вместо Present Continuous), с глаголами, которые не употребляются во временах группы Continuous:
e.g. I understand you.
3. Для выражения будущего действия в придаточных предложениях времени и условия:
e.g. You will improve you pronunciation if you read aloud every day.
4. Для выражения будущего действия с глаголами to leave, to start, to sail, to arrive, to return, to go, to come и другими.
e.g. The trains starts at ten o’clock.
The Imperative Mood (Повелительное наклонение)
Глагол в повелительном наклонении выражает побуждение к действию, т.е. приказание, просьбу, совет и т.д.
1. Утвердительная форма повелительного наклонения совпадает с формой инфинитива (без частицы to):
e.g. to read – читать Read! – Читайте! Читай!
2. Отрицательная форма образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола do и отрицательной частицы not. Вместо do not обычно употребляется сокращение don’t:
e.g. Don’t wait. – Не ждите.
Don’t open the window. – Не открывайте окно.
Отрицательная форма повелительного наклонения глаголов to be и to have также образуется при помощи глагола do:
e.g. Don’t be late. – Не опаздывайте.
3. Вспомогательный глагол do ставится перед утвердительной формой повелительного наклонения для усиления просьбы:
e.g. Do come to see me tonight. – Непременно приходите к нам сегодня вечером.
4. Для выражения побуждения к действию, обращенному к 1 и 3-му лицу, употребляется глагол let, соответствующее личное местоимение в объектном падеже (или существительное в общем падеже) и инфинитив без частицы to:
e.g. Let us (let’s) go there. – Пойдём туда.
Let Mike bring the dictionary. – Пусть Миша принесёт словарь.
Отрицательная форма – do not (don’t)
e.g. Don’t let him do it. – Пусть он не делает этого.
Иногда без глагола do:
e.g. Let’s not do it. – Не будем этого делать.
Types of questions
(Типы вопросов)
General question (общий вопрос)
Задается ко всему предложению в целом. Требует краткого ответа «Да» или «Нет». Начинается со вспомогательного или модального глагола.
e.g. Does he speak English well? – Он хорошо говорит по-английски?
Can you translate this article without a dictionary? – Можете ли вы перевести эту статью без словаря?
2. Special question (специальный вопрос)
Относятся к какому-нибудь члену предложения. Они начинаются с вопросительного слова (who, what, whose, how, when, where и др.), которое показывает, к какому члену предложения относится вопрос.
e.g. What did you see there? – Что вы там видели?
How did he write the dictation? – Как он написал диктант?
Вопрос к подлежащему "who?" — кто? строится по типу утвердительного предложения, сказуемое выражается глаголом в 3-м лице, единственном числе.
e.g. Who studies English?
3. Alternative question (альтернативный вопрос)
Представляет собой два общих вопроса, соединённых союзом or. Второй вопрос обычно бывает неполным. Требуют полных ответов. Ответы да или нет логически невозможны.
e.g. Do you study English or French? - I study English.
4. Disjunctive question (разделительный вопрос)
Вопрос требующий подтверждения «не так ли?», «не правда ли?». Он может строиться двумя способами»:
1) + , - ? (1-ая часть — утвердительное предложение; 2-ая часть — краткий общий отрицательный вопрос).
2) -, + ? (1-ая часть — отрицательное предложение; 2-ая часть — краткий общий вопрос).
Во второй части таких вопросов повторяется тот глагол, который входит в состав сказуемого 1-ой части.
Ответы на такие вопросы нужно давать ожидаемые.
e.g. You study English, don't you? - Yes, I do. - Да. (No, I don't. — Hem.)
You don't study English, do you? - Yes, I do. — Изучаю. (No, I don't. — He изучаю)
